Approximately 20 scholarships are available to US graduate students for study in any subject (although there are restrictions in Medicine) in the UK. These awards aim to promote mutual understanding between the United States and the UK and cover tuition fees and 10 months' maintenance sufficient to cover housing, travel, food and other living expenses. Candidates are expected to be leaders, or future leaders, in their field of study, whose project proposals reflect enduring concerns, demonstrate sound methodology, and avoid politicisation of scholarly inquiry.
